Q.What is manual therapy?
Manual therapy is a treatment used to help with the pain relief, healing and rehabilitation of most medical and surgical conditions.
Q.How effective is manual therapy?
In the vast majority of cases Manual Therapy is considered extremely effective for appropriate conditions. Research suggests that Manual Therapy significantly improves the rehabilitation of patients.
Q.Is manual therapy massage?
No, manual therapy is much more than massage, although specific massage techniques may be used if they are regarded as an appropriate treatment to aid your recovery.
Q.What types of problem can you help?
We can help a wide range of conditions with the pain relief, healing and rehabilitation of most medical and surgical conditions.
Q.What is your cancelation policy?
Missed appointments, or any appointment changed, altered, moved or cancelled for any reason with less than 24 hours’ notice will be fully charged.
Q.What types of payment can you take?
With providing a mobile and clinic service we currently take Cash and cheque transactions.
Questions relating to Treatments
Q.What can I expect to happen in the initial assessment?
Within you initial assessment, your therapist will perform a detailed subjective and objective examination asking questions to build a picture of the problem you are experiencing. Following a friendly discussion and thorough physical assessment, we will provide you with an accurate diagnosis for your condition and help you understand the causes of your pain and problem. Your therapist will then formulate an effective treatment plan and begin working immediately to ease your pain.
Q.How do I know what type of treatment will help?
From your initial consultation your therapist will develop an effective treatment plan in agreement with you. Throughout the treatment your therapist will consistently reassess your symptoms and condition to ensure the treatment is proving effective.
Q.Can I pay for my treatments by Credit Card?
Unfortunately we are unable to take payment by Credit Card at this moment in time.
Q.What clothes shall I bring for my appointment?
You can wear any clothes but we often recommend something loose fitting and comfortable.
Questions relating to Medical Insurance
Q.What do I have to do if I want to claim costs through my medical insurance?
Please contact us prior to booking an appointment to discuss your personal needs and requirements.
Q.I have an excess or treatment limit on my medical policy what should I do?
With effective treatment it is rare that we reach patient limit of sessions however, we keep you informed throughout each treatment and our admin team monitor limits.
Q.What is the Health Professions Council?
The Health Professions Council was set up in 2003 under the National Health Service Reform and Health Care Professions Act 2002, to replace the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine (CPSM). It is a regulatory body for a number of health professions.
Q.What is BaSRaT?
BASRaT is the UK regulator for Sport Rehabilitation Graduates and has been approved as an Accredited Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care.
Q.Do I need a Doctor's Referral?
No you do not need a doctors referal for our services.
