Luke is a Musculoskeletal consultant and the Clinical Director at Lowton Rehab & Sports Injury Clinic.
Having been involved in sport for over a decade at international level representing Great Britain at Judo, Luke was able study and transfer many different skills and experience into founding Lowton Rehab. After graduating Salford University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Rehabilitation, Luke has a wealth of experience working with many Olympic, professional and elite athletes including premiership football and super league rugby teams including Salford Reds Rugby league, Southampton Football Club and working as part of a multi-disciplinary medical team at the London 2012 Olympic Games training camp.
As member of the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers, Luke has completed many post graduate courses and continued professional development and will complete his MSc at Sheffield Hallam University later this year. Luke splits his time between the Lowton and Salford Clinics as well as mobile consultations and adopts a hands on approach to treatment utilising evidence based manual therapy and massage to achieve remarkable results for patients. As a UKCC Level 5 qualified sports coach, Luke is able to devise integrated functional pre-habilitation and rehabilitation programmes that are bespoke and sports specific ensuring an effective and efficient return to sport.
As the clinical director of Lowton Rehab, Luke is also responsible for delivering specialist musculoskeletal services for multi-sport elite athletes, teams and individuals ensuring high standard of outcome led treatment and rehabilitation. As well as overseeing undergraduate student work placements and tasked with introducing new technologies to assist in patient education and services (such as GPS integration for mobile appointments, biomechanical screening systems and analytic performance tracking).
Out of the clinic Luke is the Head coach of Leigh Judo Club, a 3rd Dan, Ex-Great Britain International judo player and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Blue belt. As well as competing and coaching, Luke continues to work with elite amateur and professional sportsmen and women providing them with treatment based on his wealth of knowledge and experience.
